CopyClip 2 - Clipboard Manager App Reviews

Really love it!

I’ve been using it for months now and really love it. Simple and works. Make sure you install also the "CopyClip 2 Helper 2” so you can use the keyboard shortcut. (It is necessary because of some Apple limitation). Ps: I’m not getting paid to write this, and I dont know the developers.

CopyClip 2

Overall, I find your app very useful and good value for the money. It’s a time saver. I like it! It’s easy enough to use and clear entries, copies taken. i think it would be worthwhile adding a clear all button. It would save me time clear each entry one at a time. Also, when I’m finished with the app, I don’t want to inadvertantly leave any senitive information behind. Thank you

Best clipboard app available, as of 2015

Really excellent little app with all the right features.

Does not work!

The app keeps a record of everything I copy to the clipboard, but I am not able to paste anything!

Some key features just does not work

Keyboard shortcuts does not work. New version much worse then the previous one. Support team answered my concerns in 3 days, but advice did not work as well. Really disapointed.

Does not work for me too

Same as me. I just got this and it copies everything fine, but I can’t paste it into any application. If it works the way it is supposed to, I’d be happy to give it 5 stars.

A must-have

I’ve been using ClipMenu for years but now that it’s been discontinued I switched to CopyClip 2. Works great. Prompt customer support.

I use it, BUT...

It has two serious flaws that drive me CRAZY. First, the window opens up smack in the middle of the screen, and it’s static. Not only can you not drag it anywhere, you can’t even set a different position in the preferences. Second, you can’t keep the window OPEN while you’re working, and there is no way to change the hotkey combination. My command-number keys are assigned to another application, so using ClipCopy2 for me requires constantly using my mouse to navigate to the menu bar, find what I want in the open window, and double-click to select the text i want… EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. In short, this app is annoying me AND hurting my hand, wrist, and elbow. So unfortunately I’m going to replace it with something else as soon as I can.

I love Copy Clip but version 2 has issues

I tried upgrading from the original copy clip to this version 2. I love the upgraded functionality. I HATE that the window opens in the middle of the screen instead of a drop down menu. I will not be using this app until this is fixed.

Love it!

I have been wanting a copy/paste program that "just worked.” This is it. Just wish it would work with more than just text. But this works perfectly for me.

I feel spoiled!

CopyClip2 makes working with the clipboard so fast and intuitive, that I feel spoiled … especially when I have to work on a machine that doesn’t have CopyClip2 installed. I do a lot of work copying and pasting between browser windows, or between terminal windows into a browser, or from browser windows into an email; this tool has saved me a great deal of window switching!

It’s great. Needs one feature though...

Needs the ability to pin clips to a stationary location on the dropdown menu. If it had that, it would be a five star app for sure!

Very useful !!!

Really speeds up my work flow ! So glad i got this simple yet powerful tool !!!

its great app

this is useful app and easy

Like it, but still some issues

I have been using CopyClip 1.x for a couple of years, and found the order in which the clips appeared in the list not always making much sense. The pinning feature and the ability to delete specifc clippings of v2 was exactly what I needed. Right now three stars, not five, though, because: 1) Like CopyClip 1.x it still tries to establish an internet connection. I assume it is just for the advertising of FIBLABs other applications, and possibly for usage tracking, but for this kind of application this is a big NO-NO. As with CopyClip 1.x, I block this connection, so it is not a dealbreaker for me. My advice to the developers: Don’t. 2) This is a .0 version, and it has crashed on me a few times already. Please fix. 3) I didn’t figure out keyboard equivalents to Pinning and Editing clippings. The arrow keys work for navigation, the spacebar for quick look, delete for deleting one or more clippings, but I would like to do Pinning & Editing by keyboard as well.

Could be Great!

CopyClip 2 could be a great App; but it does not work on my iMac the way the developer says it does. Yes, it stores everything that I copy, BUT it will NOT allow pasting into an open application unless I download and insall the small helper App for “Paste Directly”. If you experience the same problem, then go into settings, find the “Paste Directly” option under “Advanced," and turn it on. Copyclip 2 will then download the helper app, and will NOW work the way it is supposed to. (But Paste Directly doesn’t do what it says it does). At least that has been my experience (I’m running OS X 10.10.4).

Stop asking for reviews

Its got some bugs in it, where it pastes “v” instead of what I want it to paste. Plus it keeps asking for reviews. I hate when apps ask me for reviews, so I’m writing this one.

CopyClip 1

After using the free CopyClip 1 for about a year, I bought this one to support the developers. Thanks guys!

Simple, easy, unobtrusive

Wanted a simple, no frills clipboard addendum that just did that job without complications, unneeded frills, and trying to be something other than what it is. CopyClip 2 is perfect, and it works. So far, no bugs or glitches. I think I’ll keep it! I never used CopyClip 1, so I can’t comment on improvements, but this one is great. It does the job.

it’s ok

To make it work a helper app had to be downloaded separately. That was clunky. Pasting isn’t instantaneous. Sometimes I think it isn’t going to paste so I paste again and then get multiple copies of the same thing pasted.
