CopyClip 2 - Clipboard Manager App Comentários

Did not work for me

I initially installed CopyClip, but it did not work. Then I upgraded to CopyClip2, which also did not wok. The app required an additonal download from the internet, which I did, but it still did not work. In my opinion, the online documentation is very poor at best. I have pruchased it with the idea of saving time. I ended up wasting so much time trying to get it to work, before I decided to quit.

The app quit working

No longer works?

Was good

It was a five star app until recently. Now the app causes my CPU to go 100 percent constantly. I've erased all the cached data and prefs, but still it eats up my CPU and makes my fan go nuts. Please fix it. Then it can be five stars again.

Decent App - no paste text option

I like that the app can be configured to save lots of clip history. The two problems I have and hense two stars less, are first the display window does not show much of a longer clip. Maybe it could be opened to two or three lines with larger clips. It makes it hard looking back and finding the one I want. The second problem is even with the 'paste formatted Text' option unselected it pastes formatted text. I really need the option to paste plain text and not always RTF or HTML.

won't update in macOS 14.

Always hangs and won't update. Old version won't launch in 14. Would like to be able to use it again...

Broken is Sonoma

LOVE this app. Sadly it is not working since the Sonoma update. I was unable to reach support via the website so posting feedback here.

Consistently Misses Copies

I purchased the full version added the helper so it would automatically paste into windows. Relatively satisfied with the result, however it frequently misses copies when copying multiple entries in a row and I have to go back and re-copy it again to show in the history. Also not sure what the purpose of the ctrl shift space history is vs the ctrl space history -- but I find it annoying that the enter key doesn't select on the ctrl space history but there is limited history/search capability on the ctrl shift space history. Also the ctrl space window shows up in a random spot on the screen, but the ctrl shift space history is always next to the input (expected imo). Seems like a unified approach would be better.

No Support Available?

I thought all Apple App Store Apps had to have a way to contact the developer? Your website has a "Contact" section - but there is no actual way to make contact, just an FAQ. Also paid to. upgrade to CopyClip 2, which seems to be nothing more than a slightly alterered GUI from CopyClip. Would not advise upgrading the original - and the upgrade process was highly unique and not typical of what Apple would allow.

Not an upgrade from the original

You now have to double click to copy instead of single click with original and occasionally the double click does not work at all. The window does not come forward automatically so you have to move windows around occasionally or force it to stay ontop taking up screnn space I got this primarily to be able to pin a cut, other than that this is not work the money, I will have to limit the number of beers after work now tonight. What a waste.

waste of money

doesnt sync between machines? I have 3 macs in my house i copy and paste the same tings all the time, but I have to set copyclip 2 up 3 times

worse than CopyClip 1

So there is no import from ver 1 to 2. There is no way to adjust the number of clipped items to see. Although adding search is nice (and the main reason I mistakenly bought version 2), the browsing of clipped items feature has gotten so much worse, I've stopped using ver 2 and went back to 1.

My must have App!

For me this is the most important app I use. I am constantly copying and pasting text between apps. This app allows me to easily access items. I love the fact that I can pin important text I tend to use frequently. I had no issues installing it. Well worth the price!

App is OK, but installation on Mac was an ordeal

I've wanted a clipboard manager for some time, and this one was hightly rated and seems to have most of the features I want. So maybe after I get some experience with it, the app itself will be 5-star. HOWEVER, getting this thing running on a Mac (Big Sur) was needlessly difficult. I wasted more than two hours on this, and was about to trash the whole thing and write off the $7 investment. It would install easily enough, and would capture things I copied, but getting them to paste seemed to be impossible. I finally found a sentence in their documentation telling Mac users to click on "Paste directly", and then some confusing info on how to install their helper-app and how to set up the Mac's security settings appropriately. If it has to be this hard to get the thing to paste on a Mac, so be it. But in that case, it requires some effort to automate the process, or at least VERY CLEAR AND VERY VISIBLE instructions on how to do this.

Great app, but...

This is a great app. Been using it for a long time. This would be a 5 star if it allowed syncing with iCloud for working on multiple computers.

More development needed

It instructs you need to install a third party "helper" to get it to fully work due to "App Store Limitations." This is false as other clipboard managers have the function they talk about build in. I contacted them and they gave me the run around, either they’re poor programmers or lying (using the third party plug in for nefarious purposes), not sure. There were other issues like this too.

Better than version 1

Ok, I wrote a realy critical review the first day I had the upgrade but I realized another app, Vanilla, was hiding this ap in the menu bar making it invisble anf only accessible from the Dock or pop-up window(requiring a keyboard shortcut). I still don't like the copies showing in the TouchBar and that's what is keeping from giving it a 5

Did not work as expected

This app turned out to be quite a mess. It had to click multimple times to get anything to paste. Is it not optimized for Big Sur? It was really a hassle - so I deleted it.

Indispensable if you write a lot!

Truly a remarkable little app that is indispensable for folks who do a lot of writing. Ever have that "Gulp... I really liked/need that paragraph I deleted a half hour ago?" or "If I have to type that phrase one more time I'm gonna bang my head on the desk repeatedly?" Well.... this is your solution!

[UPDATED] Great product - needs one tweak

CopyClip 2 is the best clipboard manager for Mac I have found after trying and buying several of them. It has been a key part of my productivity workflow for years and has saved my bacon on numerous occassions. I was happy to find out about the light/dark mode improvement. I just wish it could follow the Settings > Appearance > Auto state to switch between modes in sync with my preferences. Also PLEASE bring THIS APP to iOS. All the other clipboard managers there are second-rate compared to Copy Clip 2. I'm hoping the developer makes this a Universal app.

Menus need work

Delete clips (Clear in basic version) is hidden in Preferences under Advanced, which makes harder to get to. It should be more easily available. So I use both versions depending on what I'm working on. A simple arrow to all submenus would be helpful.

Disapointed

It does store clipboard stuff, but thee are free tools that allow you to do the same thing. What I was looking for is a more advanced -- where I can keep 'pinned' clips in a separate menu and be able to name those clips. I have 30 clips that I keep in another clipboard tool that is no longer supported that I was hoping to replace with copyclip. Save your money get the free clipboard manager it does the same thing.

doesn't work with images like other clipboard managers

How can a clipboard manager in 2020 not work with images?

A Must Have Clipboard Manager

Pasting from history made effortless. Totally worth the price.

Dont Like the Page Navagation

Does this app help with keeping a copy history? Yes, it does. But this is version 2. With version 2, you would hope its better than the first one. While it does look better than the first one, it has an annoying habit, of not laying flush with the status menu. In fact, it can end up in the middle of the screen a lot lot of times. Why would I want that? If I click the button to look at my copy history, why would I then want to hunt around for the window? My suggestion, just use the first one. Its better.

It works well and reliably

If I had one nit to pick it is this: There is no easy way to delete all entries. I have to do Command-A and Delete on eadh page.

To each his own; this is a daily life saver for me

I've been using CopyClip, now 2, for years. It has probably saved me a month of typing the repetitive things a heavy computer user must enter. It isn't perfect, there are bells and whistles I'd like to see added, such as a descriptor field to remind me what that password was to. But, the slimness of this app keeps it tiny and fast and carefree.

Very Useful

I had a different clip board copier that did not require the key strokes, but it ended with the OS upgrades a couple of years ago although double clicking on an item will work This software works great.

Great for filling out forms -

Really helpful when transfering data from one document to another. Copy multiple pieces of data from the master document into CopyClip, then transfer them to other places without having to go back to the master.

please do update for mac os catalina!!!

I love this app one of the best out there always benefical for anybody to be able to save and just paste when needed. Only issue is the new mac update cuts off like half of the window on top corner and its so annoying because it is unreadable and can't see what I need to copy. Please update asap I gave 5 stars because I love your app and use it everyday for work.

Interrupted me to ask me to rate it

This app interrupted me to ask me to rate it, which as per policy is an automatic 1-star rating.

Annoying..

Every time app starts it asks you to leave a review. This "feature" cannot be turned off until you have left a review. Here is mine... This app could be good if it stuck to doing what it was designed to do.

Unobtrusive and has search feature

I can't live without a clipboard manager and I have a feeling that everyone who tries one feels the same way! I cringe every time I see someone "save" something that they copied by temporarily pasting it into some document. I used to use FlyCut (formerly JumpCut) and loved the UI but wanted the ability to search my clips. This has that and still has a UI that is just as easy and unobtrusive as FlyCut. The only downside is this doesn't save image clips, but that doesn't really bother me.

Takes forever to load

Am I the only one experiencing this? If I don't use CC2 for more than several minutes, it apparently goes into a standby mode where when I try to use it again, it takes several seconds to pop up. This is extremely annoying. It started happening maybe 2 months ago

Does not work on Majave

Why it does not work and not giving me a refund?

Could not live without an app like this

I've used many clipboard apps over the years. This is by far the best of any of them. Very few bugs as Apple Changes their OS, updates on CopyClip come out quickly if there are any. It is super easy to use and customize. Saves me a ton of time and agravation on occassions when I would have lost something if it were not for the large amount of copies I keep in CopyClip. I have it set to retain the last 100 copies, very useful for a web developer.

Only copying two things in a row.

Used to be a great app, but it now will only allow me to remember two copies at one specific time.

One of the first things I install

Whenever I reinstall macOS (I do a clean install, not upgrade) - this is one of the first things I install. I can't imagine working without it.

Exactly what I needed

Very slick. Very simple. Invention and Evolution page 17 After M.J. French I say that "it has all those elements which make a design intellectually pleasing, apparent fortuity -“ ME: Because you don’t have to remember to do anything extra until you want a previous clip, M.J. French: "aptness -" ME: Because CopyClip2 fits hand in glove with the Mac UI M.J. French: "extreme simplicity, of form, if not of function" ME: Because Command 1 … 10 pull the clip you want into the paste buffer I recommend without reservations. -billmeade

Can't live without it

One of the apps I use multiple times a day. Works just as it should!

Best Mac Utility

By far the simplest and best utility program I use on my mac. Incredible how much time it can save when you get used to using it. Extremely simple and does exactly what it was designed to do.

Very pleased

Works great. It is very helpful and never gets in the way or causes a problem.

Best clipboard manager I’ve used

and I have used many over the years. This one is simple to use and works flawlessly.

Fits the need...

While I do not usually need multiple copies of text or images, when I do (designing or using text from various sources) CopyClip does exactly as promised. There are fancy clipboard utilites that charge for their options, but this app does its job without too much configuring, and does not need a "helper" app to do it. I rate functional minimalism highly, so this app scores well with me.

can only see last 10 items

You can not see beyond 10 items unless you open it and click to another screen to see 10 more and so on. I asked the devs to fix it, and they said they will not fix it (even though the previous version has it), and told me to contact Apple if I wanted a refund.

So simple and powerful

This one of the best productivity apps I've ever used. Such a time saver. I do application testing, where I need to repeatedly copy user ids, urls, etc. and this makes it so much easier. Not it's just part of how I work. It's also great to find things you copied a while back but have forgotten.

Excellent Clipboard Manager

As has been said in other reviews, once you use a clipboard manager you wind up asking yourself how did you ever function without one. I'm an IT professional and spend large portions of my day moving text around. Once I was comfortable with how this application worked it immediately became indespensible to me. I highly recommend it.

Love it!

This is a great little app, that should be included with MacOS. I am always copying stuff, and the system limit of one item at a time just won't cut it. However, this app lets you copy and retain as many items as you'd ike then go back to it and select to paste them as needed. Great job team! Keep improving it!

Super handy

I use it all day every day. Really makes life easier!

Really Makes "Cut and paste" much easier

I have used the app for over a year and really find it useful. Many times something I copied earlier needs to be pasted again and this saves me the step of having to go through the process of copying again. I just have to go up to the menu bar, select the app and then what I wanted to paste again. It does save time.
